Merriments Gardens ia a unique combination of a large plant nursery, garden shop, gift shop, licensed tea-room, wild bird care centre and one of the best gardens in the South of England.

Covering 4 acres of gently sloping south facing grounds, the rich Wadhurst clay soil (which makes the natural ponds in the garden cloudy) is now able to sustain an enormous variety of plants.

The deep sweeping borders are created to reflect the site and are planted with a depth rarely encountered.  The garden varies with the seasons and high summer shows the hot border at its most dramatic, where visitors will experience the vast panoply of richly coloured plants guaranteed to astound.
